Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens

Visit Northumberland’s newest tourist attraction with over one hundred species of animals including emus, wallabies, marmosets, pygmy goats, donkeys, meerkats and many more.

Visitors can meet the keepers and learn about the animals and their habitats. With a rolling programme of kids’ activities and play areas, forest trails, garden walks, picnic areas and a brand new tea room and gift shop, there really is something for all of the family.

Opening dates:

Please note we are only open weekends, bank holiays and school holidays, the school holiday dates are in accordance with Northumberland County Council and can be found below:

Summer Holidays – Saturday 20th July – Monday 2nd September

October Half Term – Saturday 26th October – Sunday 3rd November

Opening times:

Summer (May – September), 10am – 5pm (last admission time 4pm)

Winter (October – April), 10am – 4pm (last admission time 3pm)
